Cake Production set up on Shared hosting

Posted by teejay on March 12, 2009

I've been scouring forums, blogs and lately Stackoverflow for a glimpse of how to set up Cake on a shared hosting environment.

While I've got some answers here and there, I haven't actually tried any of the answers I got on Stackoverflow (I'll try on my free time).

Cake is a PHP framework I've been wanting to try for a long time and haven't due to work and how to set it up on a shared hosting using the production setup. Fortunately, there's Stackoverflow and another resource I've found out about looking for a solution to another problem.

AD7six's blog is handy resource for CakePHP.

This setup shown was, I believe more appropriate and standard than those presented on Stackoverflow (Not that they're bad). It just seems that it has less 'hacks' to make CakePHP running on a shared hosting environment.

Anyway, here's a link to the tutorial: Setting up Production style CakePHP on a shared host
